The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) is proud to announce the availability of farmers’ market coupons for eligible seniors that provide access to fresh fruits, vegetables and honey at participating farmers’ markets. Through the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), low-income seniors can increase their access to nutritious produce.

The SFMNP program is a partnership funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA). The NDA partners with local community organizations to ensure that low-income seniors in the state have access to fresh, locally-sourced fruits and vegetables.

"Together with our community partners, we are thrilled to offer seniors greater access to fresh nutritious foods," said NDA Division of Food and Nutrition Administrator Patricia Hoppe.

To be eligible for coupons, participants must register at a local distributing agency site, be Nevada residents aged 60 or older, and meet the 2024 Income Guidelines.

Coupons are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Distribution agency sites are conveniently located throughout the state. To find a location near you, please visit, https://agri.nv.gov/Food/Senior_Farmers_Market_Nutrition_Program/SFMNP-Senior_Farmers_Market_Nutrition_Program/.
