Welcome to the Department of Agriculture
The Nevada Department of Agriculture was established in 1915 by Chapter 561, Nevada Revised Statutes.
The Mission of the Department is to benefit the welfare of all persons residing in the state by encouraging the advancement and protection of Nevada's agriculture and related industries.
Measurement Standards includes Petroleum Technology and Weights and Measures.
Plant Industry conducts cooperative programs with many different agencies of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as well as, state, county and city agencies.
Animal Industries includes Animal Disease, Livestock Identification and Nevada Wildlife Services.
