Producer and Produce Vendor Certification 

Producer certificates are issued by the Nevada Department of Agriculture to farmers that are selling crops of their own production. Farmers must obtain a certificate to sell their farm products. Producer certificates are issued for crops produced in Nevada in their natural and unprocessed state, for honey and for eggs of domestic poultry. Produce vendor's certificate is required in Nevada to sell produce not grown by the vendor. If you hold a valid producer's certificate, a produce vendor's certificate is not also required. If you sell produce you did not grow, federal law requires records be maintained that allow the product to be traced to the previous source.
