As a part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy and supportive environment for our students, the NDA has recently revised Nevada’s School Wellness Policy. This revision represents a step forward in prioritizing the health and well-being of our students. By integrating the latest nutritional guidelines and best practices in nutrition and physical activity. This policy aims to create a supportive environment that fosters healthy habits and enhances learning outcomes. Key updates include comprehensive guidelines for nutritious school meals, ensuring that students have access to balanced options that promote optimal growth and development, changes to allowable beverages and new allowances for fundraiser exemptions. Additionally, the policy emphasizes the importance of regular physical activity, offering structured opportunities for exercise throughout the school day.
Your input is crucial in helping us ensure that this policy effectively meets the needs of Nevada’s school communities. We invite you to participate in a brief survey to share your thoughts and feedback on the updated wellness policy. Please review the revised policy prior to completing the survey. Your insights will play a vital role in shaping a healthier and more vibrant school environment for our state.

Business Impact Survey: Proposed changes to NAC 586.011
The NDA Division of
Plant Health and Compliance is conducting a survey to assess the potential
impacts of proposed changes to Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) Chapter 586.011
on businesses. The changes proposed to NAC 586.011 pertain to the regulation
of pesticide registrations. Please follow the survey link below to
access the survey. This survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete.
Please note, this survey is the first step in assessing the
impact of these proposed changes in accordance with Nevada Revised Statute
(NRS) 233B.0608. Participation in this survey is voluntary, and data that you
provide will be used to help the NDA draft a business impact statement. This
statement, created from the results of this survey, will be available as part
of a future public workshop announcement. In addition to completing this
survey, you may also provide public comment on these proposed changes at a
future workshop, which will be announced after the survey closes. We thank you
