Peaches

PURCHASE

Choose firm and fuzzy peaches. Avoid blemishes. Peaches are ripe when the fruit yields to gentle pressure.

    KEEP

    Peaches should be stored at room temperature and can be kept for up to three days. Tip: Store in paper bag to ripen more quickly.

      PREPARE

      Rinse peaches under cool water prior to eating or using in a recipe.

        RECIPE

        Peach Salsa

        1 cup Peaches (about 2 medium fresh, chopped)
        1 large Tomato (chopped)
        1 Bell pepper (seeded and chopped)
        ½ cup Onion (chopped)
        ½ cup Cilantro (chopped)
        1 tablespoon Lime juice
        ¼ teaspoon Salt
        ¼ teaspoon Pepper

        1. Combine peaches, tomato, bell pepper, onion and cilantro in a large bowl. Add lime juice, salt and pepper and gently stir to mix.
        2. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
