Berries


    PURCHASE

    Choose firm, plump berries you can smell. Your nose is your best friend when choosing the tastiest berries!

      KEEP

      Refrigerate unwashed berries in a single later and use within three days. Berries can also be frozen.

        PREPARE

        Discard any shriveled or moldy berries. Rinse gently under running water and blot dry. Use immediately.

          RECIPE: BERRY SAUCE

          Feel free to adjust the sugar, water and berry amounts depending on taste and consistency requirements.

          • 1⁄4 cup water
          • 1⁄3 cup sugar
          • 4 cups fresh or frozen berries
          • Wash hands and rinse berries under running water.

          Mix water, sugar and 2 cups berries in medium saucepan over medium heat. Mash berries if desired.

          Stir frequently, and remove from heat when desired consistency. Stir in remaining berries. Mash if desired.

          Serve over waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, ice cream - you name it. Refrigerate for up to a week.
