February 04, 2026The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) Agricultural Police Officers responded early Wednesday morning to a rollover incident involving a semi-truck transporting cattle on the "Spaghetti Bowl" transition ramp from Interstate 15 South to Interstate 11 South in Las Vegas Nevada.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026. Responding teams worked through the early morning hours to get the truck upright to offload the cattle. The 28 cattle on board were unloaded and evaluated by animal health professionals. At the time of recovery, 16 cattle had been confirmed deceased, including six cattle that had to be euthanized due to injuries. The remaining 12 animals were determined to be in stable condition.
"Public safety and the wellbeing of livestock are of paramount importance," said NDA Director J.J. Goicoechea. "We appreciate the swift and dedicated efforts of all responding officers and partners who worked diligently to assist the animals and ensure public safety."
