RENO, Nev. -
July 01, 2026The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) has entered into a management agreement with the Reno Rodeo Association for events and facilities at the Nevada State Fairgrounds, including the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, effective June 1, 2026.
Individuals and organizations interested in booking events or using the Nevada State Fairgrounds will now coordinate directly through the Reno Rodeo Association.
The transition follows the passage of Assembly Bill 333, which returned oversight and management of the Nevada State Fairgrounds to the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA), as they were originally endowed in 1867. Prior to the transition, the property was operated by the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority under Washoe County's lease of the property.
"The Reno Rodeo has demonstrated its ability to manage the Nevada State Fairgrounds through its longstanding presence and investment in the property," said NDA Director J.J. Goicoechea. "We look forward to working together to support the continued success at the facility and the events it hosts."
For more information about booking events or using the Nevada State Fairgrounds beginning June 1, contact the Reno Rodeo Association at 775-329-3877.
