Nevada Department of Agriculture announces plant industry leadership

The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) announced Robert Little as its Plant Industry Division administrator, based in Sparks, Nev. Little has worked with the NDA for 12 years, and most recently held the Plant Industry Division deputy administrator position. He previously managed the Noxious Weeds Program and worked in the Entomology Lab. Little is a Nevada native, and holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Meghan Brown was selected to serve as Plant Industry Division deputy administrator in the NDA’s Elko office. Most recently, Brown worked for Congressman Mark Amodei as a rural representative. She holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental science, range management and rural development from Utah State University, and has lived in Nevada since 2006.

The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) promotes a business climate that is fair, economically viable and encourages a sustainable environment that serves to protect food, fiber and human health and safety through effective service and education. NDA includes the divisions of Administration, Animal Industry, Consumer Equitability, Food and Nutrition and Plant Industry.
