First Nevada School Garden Conference held April 9 in Reno

The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) will hold the 2016 Nevada School Garden Conference  on Saturday, April 9 at Bartley Ranch Regional Park in Reno. Held in partnership with Desert Farming Initiative and Urban Roots, this conference will help create and enhance school garden programs around northern Nevada.

The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with an evening reception and tour at Urban Roots to follow. The conference is open to parents, teachers, school volunteers and others interested in starting or improving a school garden.

The cost of the conference is $25, which includes a light breakfast, lunch and evening reception. Interested individuals can register at here. Registration must be completed by April 1.
