Weed Management plans
What is a weed management plan?
A weed management plan is exactly that, it is a plan that outlines how a landowner intends to manage an infestation of noxious weeds. This can be done by a variety of different methods but ultimately it needs to be an appropriate method for the species being managed. Identification and control guidance on different Noxious weed species is available from the NDA noxious weeds program by contacting NoxiousWeeds@Agri.nv.gov. More information on Noxious weed species is available here.
An effective weed management plan will first positively identify the target species, properly implement a control method according to the life stage the species is in at the time of management, and implement monitoring methods afterwards to ensure that the species does not return. Most Noxious weed species require years of treatment to effectively control.

I submitted my plan, now what?
Submitting a plan is a step toward compliance, but it is not all you need to do. If you submitted over email or online, NDA noxious weed program staff will reach out to you regarding your Weed Management Plan and let you know if changes need to be made. NDA staff will work with you over the phone and edit your plan as needed, emailing or mailing you your completed Weed Management plan for your records. After this, all you need to do is stick to the plan!
