Data Submissions

Point data

  1. Locations compiled on 1:24000 7.5 minute USGS quads with corresponding attribute data in the margins or adjacent to compiled location or cross-referenced to tabular data as described in 2. below.
  2. Tabular data in database or spreadsheet form with fields or columns as described under Data Standards. Microsoft Access tables or Excel spreadsheets are preferred, otherwise export your data to an ASCII-delimited file.
  3. Spatial data in an Arc-Info compatible data exchange format. These include: Arc export (*.e00), ArcView shape (*.shp) or CAD systems (*.dxf). Attribute data may be carried under the corresponding Arc Point Attribute (PAT) table of the coverage or a linked attribute table similar to the relate tables described above.

Line and Area data

  1. Locations compiled on 1:24000 7.5 minute USGS quads with corresponding attribute data in the margins or adjacent to compiled location.
  2. Spatial data in an Arc-Info compatible data exchange format. These include: Arc export (*.e00), ArcView shape (*.shp) or CAD systems (*.dxf). Attribute data may be carried under the corresponding Arc Attribute or Polygon Attribute (AAT or PAT) table of the coverage or a linked attribute table similar to the relate tables described above.

 

How to submit data

  1. Mail or hand carry 

If computer data, store on one of the following media:

3.5" diskette
100 Meg Zip Disk
CD R/W Disk
