Waste Pesticides:
Improper disposal of
waste pesticides can result in contamination of the
state’s surface waters, ground water, and other
natural resources.
The goal of Nevada
Department of Agriculture’s Waste Pesticide Program is
to protect human and environmental health by providing
users with a safe and legal method for the disposal of
waste pesticides.
The service is free
to all pesticide users including licensed pest control
operators, nurseries, farms and ranches. Homeowners
and other pesticide users are also urged to
participate. The program is funded by pesticide
registration fees. Waste pesticides are collected,
packaged, and shipped according to state and federal
regulations. All waste pesticides are destroyed by
incineration at an EPA licensed facility.
