SPARKS, Nev. – The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) recognized today the sponsors for the inaugural Nevada Governor’s Conference on Agriculture. The event is November 13, 2014 at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa.

Open to the public, conference attendees will hear from peers, academic experts and industry leaders about public land issues, livestock grazing for ecosystem management, Genetically Modified Organisms and more. The conference’s keynote speaker will be Dave Coon of Anderson Dairy, who will be sharing the history, challenges and future outlook for the company born out of the Las Vegas desert in 1907.

 

Also at the conference will be the presentation of the Nevada Centennial Awards, which recognize farm and ranch operations in business for more than 100 years.
