Abortion:
Anatomical pathology of the fetus, bacteriology and
serology are the only services offered. Outside
laboratories will be used for histopathology and
virology should the case warrant further analysis.
The
fetus, placenta and a serum sample from the dam
(refrigerate all specimens as soon as possible) along
with a complete herd history and individual cow history
including abortion rate, vaccination history and
nutrition status should be submitted.
